Exuma is made up of Great Exuma (the mainland) , Little Exuma and the Exuma Cays, which are each separated by bodies of water.

George Town is the capital of Great Exuma which is closest to little Exuma . Many of the iconic attractions visitors associate with Exuma—including the Swimming Pigs, Compass Cay Nurse Sharks, Thunderball Grotto, Exuma Land and Sea Park Aquarium, and many others—are located throughout the Exuma Cays which are atleast 70 to 80 miles away.

Great Guana Cay Adventures is based on Black Point Exuma also known as Great Guana Cay, which is the heart of the Exuma Cays.

Because of the distance between Nassau, Great Exuma, other Family Islands, and the central Exuma Cays, we do not provide boat transfers from these locations to the Exuma Cays.

Guests traveling from outside the Exuma Cays are transported by air and meet their private boat and captain upon arrival. This prevents long boat rides and provides short scenic arrivals . An increase in time spent at each attraction and a wider variety of attractions to choose from.
