Marble – Our Pale Queen of the Sea
Say hello to Marble, the beloved and rare leucistic nurse shark who’s captured hearts across Great Guana Cay! With her smooth, ghostly coloring, Marble stands out in the clearest waters of Exuma. Her condition—leucism—gives her that unique pale look, different from albinism because her eyesight remains perfectly sharp.
But Marble is more than just a pretty fin. She’s practically family around here.
You can often find her cruising by the dock near Lorraine’s Café, giving friendly nods to her local crew and saying hello to anyone lucky enough to be nearby. She’s become such a regular that locals joke she’s on the payroll—and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Her name? That came from you! Guests helped choose her name in a fun poll , and “Marble” was the clear winner—perfect for her soft coloring that looks like ocean-polished stone.
Fun Fact Box: Marveling at Marble
